Youth Services

Safety planning

Safety is the number one issue for a child survivor or at-risk youth.

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, call 9-1-1.

The Safe Harbour Project Coordinator will work with youth to develop a safety plan including strategies to reduce risk of harm and avoid or leave a trafficking situation.

You can also contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline to report a tip, request services or get help. Call 1-888-373-7888 or text BeFree (233733).

Case management

The Safe Harbour Project Coordinator will partner with youth to assess their needs, define goals, manage crises and obtain needed services and supports. The Coordinator will also coordinate with the child welfare system, law enforcement and other systems and service providers on behalf of the child. Wrap around services including housing, healthcare, legal assistance, immigration services, translation services and other supports may also be available.

Safe Harbour clients are also eligible for other Child Advocacy Center services including trauma therapy when needed.

For information or to make a referral, contact the Safe Harbour Project Coordinator at 716-285-0045.
