The Niagara County Family Violence Intervention Project is offering student scholarships for the 18th Annual Safe at Home: Seeking Solutions for Adult and Child Victims to be held November 3, 2016 at the Conference and Event Center Niagara Falls.Student scholarships are made possible through the support of the Niagara Falls Police Club and the United Steelworkers Local #9434.
Safe at Home features presentations and workshops related to child victims with disabilities, domestic sex trafficking, substance use, child maltreatment and more. The conference provides an excellent opportunity for students to expand their knowledge and network with other professionals.
Individual scholarships in the amount of $50 are available. Students would be required to pay an additional $15 toward the conference fee.
Interested students are required to complete the attached form and submit a brief essay as detailed on the application form, available below. Applications must be submitted by October 15, 2016. Recipients will be notified October 21, 2016. For more information, contact Shelley at 285-0045.
