Niagara County Department of Social Services, Cash Assistance

Eligible families can receive cash assistance through federal funding (TANF – Temporary Assistance to Needy Families) for a maximum of 60 months in a lifetime. Single persons, childless couples, and people who have exhausted TANF benefits could qualify for Safety Net Assistance which is funded by the state and local governments.
