A longtime supporter of the Child Advocacy Center of Niagara (CAC) is teaming up with the agency to brighten the holiday season for children.
Greater Niagara Federal Credit Union will be collecting donations from Nov. 27 to Dec. 18 for children ages 3 to 18 years who are helped at the Child Advocacy Center. The credit union’s offices are at 2901 Military Road, Niagara Falls and 160 Ward Road, North Tonawanda.
Items needed for children ages 3 to 12 include new stuffed animals, new blankets, books, board games, and new clothing such as warm fleece hoodies, sweat pants, socks and underwear.
Teenage youth who are homeless or at-risk for trafficking will be given backpacks. Donors can help fill these backpacks with items such as toiletries, new blankets, ear buds, chargers, journals, adult coloring books, coloring/drawing pencils, art kits, sketch pads, hand held electronic games, books, board games, and new clothing such as warm fleece hoodies, sweat pants, socks, underwear and sports bras.
Winter in Niagara County means the CAC is also looking for new winter coats, hats, gloves and scarves to fit boys and girls 3 to 18 years. Gift cards in small denominations for local fast food restaurants, dollar stores and on-line purchases are also greatly appreciated.
